Laundry Pickup and Delivery in

Waterloo

Waterloo was one of Ontario's biggest shirt-making centres before most people had a washing machine. The Arrow Shirt factory and John Forsyth Company employed hundreds here, turning out dress shirts from the late 1800s through the twentieth century. Hand laundries served the workers and the community around them, including Charlie Sing's "Best Laundry" on King Street. The factories eventually closed, converted into the lofts and tech offices the city is known for now, and self-serve laundromats have started giving way to laundry pickup and delivery. Tumbil serves neighbourhoods across Waterloo, from Uptown to Laurelwood.
