October 20, 2026
Tumbil’s laundry service takes laundry hampers off your hands and brings clean, neatly folded clothes back to your door (don't worry, you dont need to send the hamper, just a disposable bag works well!). Some call it wash and fold, others call it fluff and fold, but most call our service a life saver! Our vetted local WashPros handle your laundry with care, including free pickup and delivery in communities across Canada. Less laundry on your list. Welcome to life beyond laundry!
What Is a Wash and Fold Laundry Service?
Wash and fold is a laundry service that washes, dries and folds your everyday laundry for you. You send your washable clothes, towels and bedding, and receive them back clean, folded and ready to put away.
Despite the name, drying is included.
Some wash and fold services require you to drop off and collect your laundry. Tumbil includes pickup and delivery in the pricing, so you can get everything done without leaving home.
What Is Fluff and Fold?
Fluff and fold is another name for wash and fold. Both describe the same basic service: washing, drying and folding your laundry.
“Fluff” refers to the drying stage. It isn’t a separate cleaning treatment or an upgrade you need to buy. I guess technically we should be called a Wash, Fluff and Fold. 🤣
If you’re searching for “fluff and fold ” or “wash and fold,” you’re looking for the same thing. What matters most is what the provider includes, how your laundry is handled and what the total order will cost.
How Tumbil’s Laundry Service Works
Tumbil connects you with a local WashPro who handles your laundry from pickup through delivery.
1. Check your address and book
Visit Tumbil to check availability and place your order. Add your detergent preferences (premium or hypoallergenic), pickup details and any special laundry instructions.
2. Get your laundry ready
Check pockets, bag your laundry and leave it in your designated pickup spot. Clearly identify any items that need special handling.
3. Let your WashPro take care of it
Your WashPro collects your laundry, washes it, dries it and folds it. Your order stays separate from other customers’ laundry.
4. Get clean, folded laundry delivered
Your laundry comes back to your door, ready to put away.
No moving loads between machines. No folding towels at midnight. No leaving the house to discover you forgot the laundry detergent.
How Much Does Tumbil’s Wash and Fold Service Cost?
Tumbil’s standard laundry service starts at $1.25 per pound, with free pickup and delivery.
A $3 platform fee and applicable taxes are additional. The minimum order is 28 pounds, and oversized items carry an additional fee. Review the pricing shown in the app before placing your order.
When comparing wash and fold services, consider:
Price per pound: The rate charged for your laundry (note: we've seen some providers advertise $1 per pound, but when you're in their app you'll actually see it's $1.60 per pound)
Minimum order charge: What you’ll pay if you send a smaller load.
Pickup and delivery: Whether these are included or charged separately.
Additional fees: Charges for oversized items or other service options.
Turnaround: When your laundry will be picked up and returned.
The advertised rate is a starting point. The full order cost tells you what to expect.
How Is My Laundry Cared For?
Having someone else handle your laundry should make life easier.
Tumbil’s standard care includes cold-water washing and drying on low-to-medium heat. You can select detergent preferences when ordering, including a premium option, hypoallergenic option, or provide your own detergent.
Your laundry is kept separate from other orders. If you have specific care requests, add them to your order so your WashPro knows what you need.
Hang-dry requests are available with Standard service. Separate those items in a labelled bag, provide hangers and include clear instructions.

Who Is Wash and Fold For?
You don’t need to be behind on laundry to use a laundry service. You might simply have better plans.
Busy families: School clothes, pyjamas, towels and bedding can fill the hamper before you’ve put the last load away.
Working professionals: Finish the workday without starting another shift beside the washing machine.
Students: Keep up with clean clothes without planning your week around shared laundry facilities.
People returning from a trip: Unpack your bags without turning the next two days into laundry day.
Anyone with a broken washer or dryer: Keep your household running while you arrange repairs.
Anyone who dislikes folding: That’s a perfectly good reason, too.
Wash and fold can be part of your weekly routine or something you use when you need an extra hand.
